We hope you enjoy your stay with us, here are a few guidelines we hope will help.
There is No Smoking in the Chalets please.
If you find there is something you need, or is not as you want it, please let us know sooner rather than later so we can try to sort something out for you. Please don’t leave it and then give a bad review. We are always happy to try to help.
Condensation
Chalets are different to houses, they need to breath to stop a build up of condensation, especially in the spring, or if it is raining. If you leave the windows on vent when you sleep, or go out it helps a lot.
Please open the bathroom window during and after a shower, especially in Chalet 38, this really helps to stop the build up of condensation.
Recycling. Swansea have a strict policy, so please could you help us by putting the things in the recycle bins provided in the kitchen, then we don’t have to go digging around in te rubbish bins. If you put any of the items listed below in the black bags they do check and leave the bags…..plus they can fine us, so please help us………Soft plastics do go in the black bag rubish bin.
Things Not allowed in black rubbish bags……
- Paper – green bag
- Card – green bag
- Cardboard – green bag
- Food waste – food waste bin
- Cans – green bag
- Glass -green bag
- Plastic pots, tubs, trays, bottles – pink bag

Heaters
Please do not leave the heaters on when you go out, if you are not using them turn them off. The chalets do warm up quickly and it helps our carbon footprint. We are also trying to keep our rental prices down but with each heater costing about £25 pounds a day to run it may not be sustainable if they are left on when you are out.
Hot Water
Chalet 4.
The kitchen has its own hot water heater, the switch is located on the right hand side of the window and is labelled as ‘Water heater’
The bathroom sink also has its own water heater, the switch is in the cupboard beneath the sink
The shower is turned on by a pull switch in the bathroom. Please switch off when you have finished as the shower switch also runs the air vent.
Chalet 38
The hot water for the kitchen, and the bath are supplied by an immersion heater tank in the bunk bed room. The switch on is in the cupboard in the bunk-room, on the right. please do not leave the heater on constantly, it heats quickly so put it on an hour or so before you need it.
The shower has it’s own heater, the switch on is in the corner by the window in the bathroom.
Noise
As it is a family site with both young children, and also people who come for the peace and quiet then can you keep the noise down after 11pm please. Tired people make for grumpy people. Also if possible try to arrive before 11pm, if not be as quiet as possible with the car doors.
Dogs
please keep your dog on a lead around the chalet park, and clear up after them. Please try not to let your dogs mess on the lawn areas as children play on these.
Do not leave the dogs shut in the chalet especially during the summer months they can get very warm, which is dangerous for you dog.
The local beach only allows dogs on the Caswell beach in the winter months. They are banned from 1st of May until 30th Sept. The council have been known to issue fines. You can. You can take you dogs on brandy cove which is the next beach around….you can find more information here.

Many of the local cafes, including the one on the beach are happy for for you to take your dogs in……there is lots of information about things you can do with your dogs on this site.
This area also has a number of adders, the UK’s only poisonous snakes. Mostly they are shy and stay out of you way, but if you dogs surprises them on the cliff paths they may bite. The local vets have anti-venom….so if you notice your dog limping with bit marks contact the local vets. 01792 403600
