This is the cafe closest to the beach at Caswell. Great for a cup of coffee, or breakfast roll. They allow dogs inside too, we go too often 🙂 The closest place to eat, it is always wonderful on a wet day to sit by the log burner sipping coffee, and watch the the sea and weather go by.

We go here weekly as the are really friendly, allow us to take dogs in and the service and food is nice. If you are thinking of doing a walk along the seafront it is a great place to begin or end up.

The Valley Hotel. Bishopston

This in a nice pub with good pub food. This is always our local choice. There is indoor food area for those cold evenings, but also a nice area outside that is dog friendly where you can eat. There is often music, a band or singer on Fridays in the summer. There is also a small football space for children to play. Although not a short walk, it is possible to walk to this one through the woods from the back of the beach car park, and then follow the road towards Bishopston. Getting back will need a torch or two, and it can be muddy in the winter months. The pub does have a car park for the less adventurous.

This is another place we often find ourselves, again the are dog friendly, you can sit anywhere downstairs and the staff are always friendly. They also have a good selection of vegetarian and vegan food as well as the normal burgers, there is something for everybody. Beware this place does get busy in the high summer as it is a favorite of many

The best Italian Ice cream there is. A great range of flavors. They also do pasta and good coffee. Dogs are not allowed inside but there is a large outside area where you can sit and watch the tide go in and out. There is also in the summer a take away ice cream kiosk….with am amazing selection.

Rose Indienne. Our favorite Indian Restaurant in Swansea. It is worth the drive, but they can also deliver for a fee.
