I will also be adding more blogs posts about great things to do as time goes on so check out the home page.

Langland’s Brasserie

There is a wonderful walk on the coastal path that starts at the at the bottom of the hill, running behind the beach cafes, and takes you out around the headland to Langland.

The walk takes about 30 minutes, on a good pathway, there is a sight climb about half way, but it is well worth the effort. The views are lovely, and if you are lucky there are often seals fishing just off the rocks.

Langland is another lovely bay with a line of traditional beach huts and has the Langland Brasserie, a great restaurant right on the seafront. A morning stroll could be rewarded with their great champagne breakfast. If you want to know more…visit the website here….or phone 01792 363699  https://www.langlandsbrasserie.co.uk/

You can then wander back the same way, or take the footpath that runs behind the golf club, and leads you back to the road that runs past the chalet park if you want a shorter walk back

Pulldu bay

This is once of my favorite places, with is blue ridge of stones, and then sandy beach as the tide goes out. It is a beach that can only be walked to so is always less busy, with an magical atmosphere, and an intriguing history. The two houses on the beach, were once pubs for the workers, one for the quarry men, and one for the sailors that shipped the stone over to devon.

The nicest walk to this beach is around the coast path which runs from far right side of the beach, past the lifeguard hut….again the views are stunning, and there is a bit of a small climb partway around.

There are no life guards on this beach, but it a stunning, and dogs are allowed on it all year around.

Mumbles

If you are looking for local shops, galleries, cafes, fish and chips, ice-cream shops pubs, wine bars, and an old fashioned pier and amusement arcade then go visit mumbles. If you turn right out of the chalet park and follow the road it is about 5 mins drive away.

It is walk able for the fit, but it is a longish walk. you can do it either by following the road, which is the shorter walk, or following the coast path round if you want to make a day of it.

I would recommend Verdis (Italian style), or Joe’s (American style) if you want ice-cream, both are good.

If you want to explore then try a wander around Oystermouth castle in Mumbles. It has been restored, and there is lots of things to explore within its walls. There are great views of Swansea Bay from its walls too.

Clyne Farm

If you want to go horse riding, or how about doing the muddiest assault course which is especially fun.  The have a number of other activities too, and it is about 7 mins drive on the other side of Bishopston.
